Education Is Your Family's Future

Three unified school districts serve the Tri-Valley.
Pleasanton Unified, Dublin Unified, and Livermore Valley Joint Unified — all rated A or higher by Niche in its 2026 ranking of California school districts — together serve about 40,000 students across three cities.

Local schools are regularly recognized by the state.

Tri-Valley schools appear year after year on the list of California Distinguished Schools. In 2026, the honorees included Hart Middle School and Harvest Park Middle School in Pleasanton, along with Eleanor Murray Fallon Middle School in Dublin. The year before, Kolb Elementary in Dublin and Lawrence Elementary in Livermore were both selected — two of only 336 elementary schools chosen from more than 5,800 statewide. The award is based on achievement data collected by the state, not on applications or nominations.

A community that values science and learning
The Tri-Valley has a culture that prizes education, and it doesn't stop at high school. Las Positas College in Livermore offers an affordable path to a bachelor's degree through transfer agreements with the University of California and California State University systems — and UC Berkeley is less than an hour's drive away. The area is also home to two national laboratories, Lawrence Livermore and Sandia, bringing science and engineering internships and jobs close to home.

Confirm the assigned school before you buy.
School district boundaries and city limits don't always line up. The Livermore Valley district covers part of Dublin and a small part of Pleasanton, while the Pleasanton district extends into Sunol and parts of Hayward. I know this area well, and I can help your family find out exactly which schools serve the home you're considering — before you make an offer.
